緣起
「社團法人中華本土社會科學會」（Chinese Indigenous Social Science Association，英文簡稱CISSA，中文簡稱「思源學會」），於2018年11月3日正式成立。創會之目的以推廣本土社會科學、期許世界各國學術研究工作能基於自身文化脈絡來發展本土社會科學，並展開溝通與交流，發展全球本土社會科學。由華人社會科學作為實驗場域出發，以發揮引領作用，特別著重華人本土社會科學的理論架構與在地實踐，關注如何根據華人社會的實況以研究與推動相應的自主學術，並向社會大眾和國際社群介紹最新之學術成果，進而將華人本土社會科學的發展經驗分享給其他希望發展本土社會科學的國家，共謀理論與實踐，裨益全球本土社會科學的永續發展為宗旨。

The "Chinese Indigenous Social Science Association" ( CISSA, "Siyuan Circle") was formally established on November 3, 2018. The purpose of the Association is to promote indigenous social sciences, expecting that the academic research work of all countries in the world can develop indigenous social sciences based on their own cultural context and carry out communication and exchanges to develop global indigenous social sciences. Starting from the Chinese social sciences as an experimental field to play a leading role, it particularly focuses on the theoretical framework and local practice of Chinese indigenous social sciences, focusing on how to research and promote corresponding independent academic studies based on the actual conditions of Chinese society, and to the public and the international community introduces the latest academic achievements, and then shares the development experience of Chinese indigenous social sciences with other countries that wish to develop indigenous social sciences. The purpose is to conspire with theory and practice to benefit the sustainable development of global indigenous social sciences.

承蒙第一屆兩位理事長王智弘教授、越建東教授暨陳復副理事長以及理監事會辛勤的帶領下，本會蓬勃發展，每月一次的讀書會，聚集了對於華人社會科學有興趣的學者以及後進，在精采的交流討論中，促進更多的對話及思辨。
在每年一次的研討會裡，來自國內及海外的各領域學者，也帶來不同角度的學術激盪討論，將中華本土社會科學領域擴展至更多元的面向。也陸續增設了「中華本土社會科學期刊」及電子刊物「思源通訊」，歡迎凡有關探索華人社會科學的本土化研究之方向及理論、應用及其有關議題的學術論文投稿，期待能促進學術交流與提升研究水準。
本會於2022年11月08日正式交接給第二屆的理監事會，相信在新任理事長夏允中教授、陳復副理事長及新任理監事會的帶領下，必定會將前人對於華人社會科學文化的學術價值傳承下去，期待未來有更多各界有志之士能夠加入本會，一起將中華本土社會科學的精神及學術價值發揚光大。

Thanks to the hard work of the first two Presidents, Professor Chih-Hung Wang, Professor Kin-Tung Yit, and Vice President Fu Chen, as well as the board of directors and supervisors, the Association has flourished. The monthly reading club has gathered people interested in Chinese social sciences. Scholars and juniors promote more dialogue and speculation in brilliant exchanges and discussions.
At the annual conference, scholars from various fields at home and abroad also brought exciting academic discussions from different perspectives, expanding the Chinese indigenous social sciences field to more diverse aspects. The "Journal of Chinese Indigenous Social Sciences" and the electronic journal "Siyuan Newsletter" have also been added successively. We welcome the submission of academic papers on the direction, theory, application, and related issues of exploring the indigenization research of Chinese social sciences, and we look forward to promoting academic exchanges. And improve research standards.
The Association will be officially handed over to the second board of directors and supervisors on November 08, 2022. I believe that under the leadership of the new President, Professor Yung-Jong Shiah, vice President Chen Fu, and the new board of directors and supervisors, the predecessors' understanding of Chinese social science and culture will definitely be improved. It is hoped that more people with lofty ideals from all walks of life will join the Association in the future to carry forward the spirit and academic value of Chinese indigenous social sciences.
