DMMMSU-MLUC, City of San Fernando, La Union - In a remarkable display of solidarity and support, the Circle of Peer Counselors at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University Mid-La Union Campus have stepped forward to provide much-needed load assistance to the unfortunate BS Information Technology (BSIT) students for school year of 2022-2023. Recognizing the financial challenges faced by these students, the peer facilitators have initiated a program aimed at ensuring equal access to education and alleviating the burden of educational expenses.
Under the program named ‘Angel for an Angel Version 1.0’, the CPC’s Project Directors have pledged their time, resources, and expertise to assist IT students who are facing financial difficulties in paying for their course load with the help of CPC alumnis. This initiative is a testament to the caring and compassionate nature of the peer facilitator community, as they rally together to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Financial Aid: CPC has established a fund specifically designated for assisting IT students in covering their load allowance. This fund will be used to provide partial load assistance, based on individual needs and circumstances.
Speaking about the program, John Allen Catbagan, a peer facilitator involved in the initiative, emphasized the significance of supporting fellow students during difficult times. "CPC is a community and student organization that values inclusivity and peer support. We understand that financial obstacles should not hinder students' pursuit of education. Through this program, we aim to uplift our IT peers and provide them with equal opportunities to succeed."
