The purpose of this project was to compare two countries in terms of culture, weather, demographics, and, most importantly, technology & digital divide. I chose the Dominican Republic, whereas my partner chose El Salvador.
I learned that El Salvador has a Pacific climate, a drier climate surrounded by volcanoes, whereas the Dominican Republic has a tropical, more humid climate.
I learned that even though I had many doubts in myself, I was able to complete this project in a calm, collected fashion. I was nervous that I would not find a partner and that I would be left stranded during this project. When I first teamed up with my partner, I was confused about how we would go about the project without speaking to each other in person. Immediately, my partner had already set out an outline for the project, and all I had to do was fill in my information. I was very grateful and learned that even though this class is online, there are other real people taking this course who want to do just as well as I do. I was very proud of my partner and our joint effort to finish this project together.
