General Rules & Regulations

• The tournament will follow standard chess rules.
  
  

• The organizers’ and arbiter’s decisions will be final and binding.
  
  

• Players must maintain discipline, sportsmanship, and fair play at all times.
  
  

Match Format

• The tournament format (Knockout / League / Swiss) will be announced before the event.
  
  

• Pairings and board assignments will be decided by the organizers.
  
  

Time Control

• Each player will be given a fixed time to complete the game.
  
  

• A player who runs out of time will lose the game.
  
  

Touch-Move Rule

• If a player touches a piece, they must move that piece, provided the move is legal.
  
  

• If a player touches an opponent’s piece, they must capture it if legally possible.
  
  

Illegal Moves

• Any illegal move must be corrected immediately.
  
  

• Repeated illegal moves may result in penalties or loss of the game, as decided by the arbiter.
  
  

Draw Rules

• A draw may occur by mutual agreement, stalemate, threefold repetition, insufficient material, or the 50-move rule.
  
  

• The arbiter’s decision on draw claims will be final.
  
  

Electronic Devices

• Mobile phones and electronic devices are strictly prohibited during matches.
  
  

• Any violation may lead to disqualification.
  
  

Scoring System

• Win: 1 Point
  
  

• Draw: 0.5 Point
  
  

• Loss: 0 Point
  
  

Code of Conduct

• Players must behave in a respectful and professional manner.
  
  

• Any form of cheating, misbehavior, or disruption will result in strict action.
  
  

Amendments

• The organizers reserve the right to modify or amend the rules if necessary.
  
  

• Any changes will be announced before or during the event.
