Chung Tak Fai("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by SQL Studio Mobile ("the App").
SQL Studio Mobile is primarily an offline utility. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not store your SQL scripts or database files on our servers. All database files created or imported within the App are stored locally on your device.
SQL Studio Mobile is designed to function primarily offline. The SQL engine runs locally on your device, and your database files are never transmitted to our servers.
An internet connection is required only for the following specific purposes:
Advertisements: To load and display third-party ads via Google AdMob (Free version only).
In-App Purchases: To communicate with the Apple App Store for processing upgrades and restoring purchases.
App Analytics: To transmit anonymous crash reports or performance data (if enabled by you in iOS settings).
Library Download: The code currently imports the diagramming tool (Mermaid.js) from a remote web server (CDN):

Result: The app must have an internet connection the first time it opens the ER Diagram view to download this file. If the user is completely offline, the ER Diagram feature will fail to load.
We do not upload, sync, or transmit your SQL scripts, queries, or database records to the cloud.
A. Information You Create (Local Data)
User Content: Any SQL scripts, database schemas, and data records you create or import are stored strictly on your device's internal storage.
Import/Export: When you use the Import/Export feature, the App accesses only the specific files you select via the system document picker. We do not have access to your other files, and we do not upload this data to any cloud server.
B. Information Collected by Third Parties (Ads)
The Free version of the App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. If you consent to tracking (via the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS), AdMob may collect and use the following to serve personalized ads:
Identifiers: Device ID (IDFA), Advertising ID.
Usage Data: Product interaction, crash data, and diagnostic information.
Location Data: Coarse location data (if allowed by your device settings) for ad relevance.
If you purchase the Premium Upgrade, advertisements are removed, and this data collection by AdMob stops.
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
App Functionality: To run the SQL engine, generate ER diagrams, and manage your local projects.
Advertising (Free Version Only): To display advertisements relevant to you via Google AdMob.
In-App Purchases: To verify your receipt with Apple to unlock Premium features (Export/Import and Ad-Free experience).
Google AdMob
We use Google AdMob to serve ads. Google may use cookies or unique device identifiers to personalize ads based on your visits to this and other apps.
You can control personalized ads in your iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Apple StoreKit
All financial transactions for the Premium Upgrade are handled directly by Apple via the App Store. We do not collect or store your credit card information or billing details. We only receive a confirmation (receipt) from Apple indicating whether the purchase was successful.
Local Data: Your SQL projects remain on your device until you delete the App or manually delete the databases within the App.
Ad Data: Data collected by Google AdMob is retained according to their own privacy policies.
Opt-Out of Tracking: On iOS 14+, you can decline the App Tracking Transparency request upon first launch. You can also disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track" in your iOS Settings at any time.
Data Deletion: You can delete all your user-generated data simply by uninstalling the App or deleting the databases inside the App interface.
Our App is a general audience utility intended for students and learners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can resolve the issue.
