There is more then one way to design a product just as there is more then one way to solve a problem. Many speakers, inventors, and CEOs have stated that the hardest part about solving a problem is finding the problem itself. It requires not only creativity and drive but it also requires knowledge in all fields so that you are constantly observing! A portion that is almost just as important as finding the problem is coming up with a design that will attract people and make the user's experience very good. If the product is a great idea but the execution or design is very bad then no one is going to use that product or others will take the idea and make it better.
