I would want to add a package.json so that I could more easily write scripts and sort dependencies. Node.js is a useful tool for running server side code to work with literally anything website, web app, and/or API related.

There is also a section about Particle Cloud which is a way to interact with a Raspberry Pi from a smartphone/device.
