About Me
About Me
I believe in the power of self discovery while utilizing mind-body connection and nature as a catalyst for healing. I support you to feel fully connected to yourself, the world and others, and to find a sense of belonging. I use a compassionate and strengths-based approach, tailored to your needs. I will be walking alongside you in your journey, to embody resiliency and live with authenticity.
I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2012 with my graduate degree in Clinical Counseling, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family. My undergraduate degree in Psychology was completed at Minnesota State University of Moorhead in 2009.
I began working in mental health in 2008 in various settings including an inpatient mental health hospital, a group home for boys, couples work utilizing Gottman techniques, early childhood education centers teaching social emotional groups, leading parenting programs, and a community mental health agency in Fort Collins focused on trauma work with children, families and teens. I have my Addictions Certification and specialized training in Nature based therapy from the Somatic Wilderness Therapy Institute, certifications in DBT, Acudetox, Neurofeedback, EMDR, TFCBT, Family Systems, Trauma informed practices, sand tray, and play therapy. Over the last few years, my experience has been in education working as a school counselor at the K-8 level. I received my Special Service Provider license in 2019 while continuing with my LPC. I am currently a member of the Colorado Counseling Association.
You will find me spending time outdoors with family and friends whether hiking, snowboarding, camping, paddle boarding, or trying a new outdoor adventure such as rock climbing.
