The Cherokee Bluff Mountain Bike team depends heavily on fundraising and business partnerships to operate. Due to the fact that the team exists as a school club, not a sport, we do not receive any funding from the schools. Cherokee Bluff Mountain Bike Club Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit youth development organization. The corporation exists, in part, as a booster to raise money for needed items throughout the season. The funds raised go towards supplies, equipment, food and race day snacks, team giveaways, awards, year end banquet, etc. We try to limit the amount of out of pocket expense to the parents of participating students. It is our goal that no parent will pay anything in addition to Georgia Cycling registration and race fees.

To raise funds, we have a two-tiered approach. First, we encourage each of our students to participate in our annual Ride-A-Thon Fundraiser. For the Ride-A-Thon they take pledges via their personalized fundraising page for a number of laps that they can ride of our home 4.2-mile course in 3 hours. Donors can either pledge a flat dollar amount or an amount per lap. We like the concept of a Ride-A-Thon because it requires the student to put in a certain amount of work to raise funds needed to eliminate a team fee. The Ride-A-Thon has been a huge success in recent years.
Our 2025 Ride-A-Thon was a great success. Our kids rode 52 laps for a total of nearly 220 miles. THANK YOU to all of our supporters. Your generosity will help make our season fun and meaningful for our students.
The second way we raise money for our team is through individual and business donations. We have been fortunate to partner with many great companies that share in the vision of using the bike to develop strong and confident kids. As a small token of appreciation we highlight these companies on our banners that are displayed at team events, on our social media channels, and here on our website. We gladly and appreciatively accept check, venmo, or like value donations from businesses.
As a 501c3 non-profit, any donation to our organization is tax deductible. Contact us to find out how you can support us for our 2025 season.
