2026 Season Registration opens on April 1st
The Cherokee Bluff Mountain Bike Team depends heavily on fundraising and business partnerships to operate. Because we function as a school club rather than a sanctioned sport, we do not receive any financial support from the schools. Cherokee Bluff Mountain Bike Club Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non‑profit youth development organization, and part of its purpose is to serve as a booster group that raises funds for essential needs throughout the season.
Money raised goes directly toward supplies, equipment, food and race‑day snacks, team giveaways, awards, our year‑end banquet, and other necessities. We work hard to minimize out‑of‑pocket costs for families. Our goal is that parents pay nothing beyond the Georgia Cycling registration and race fees.

To raise funds, we use a two‑tiered approach. First, we encourage each of our students to participate in our annual Ride‑A‑Thon Fundraiser. For the Ride‑A‑Thon, riders collect pledges through their personalized fundraising pages based on the number of laps they can complete on our 3‑mile home course in three hours.
Donors may pledge either a flat amount or a per‑lap contribution. We value the Ride‑A‑Thon because it requires students to put in meaningful effort to help cover team costs, reinforcing responsibility and ownership. The event has been a tremendous success in recent years.
Our 2025 Ride‑A‑Thon was an outstanding achievement. Together, our riders completed 52 laps, totaling nearly 220 miles. Thank you to all of our supporters—your generosity helps make our season both fun and meaningful for our students.
Our 2026 Ride-A-Thon is scheduled for Saturday August 15th
The second way we raise money for our team is through individual and business donations. We are fortunate to partner with many generous companies that share our vision of using the bike to help develop strong, confident kids. As a small token of appreciation, we recognize these partners on our banners displayed at team events, on our social media channels, and here on our website. We gratefully accept donations—whether by check, Venmo, or in‑kind contributions—from businesses and individuals.
As a 501(c)(3) non‑profit organization, all donations to our program are tax‑deductible. Contact us to learn how you can support our team for the 2026 season.
