When a call comes in that you answer (press Y or R depending on your keybind), you will receive a blip on the map. Announce on the radio that you are responding to the last call. YOU MUST TURN ON LIGHTS AND SIRENS WHILE HEADING TO THE CALL! Please drive swiftly, but also carefully to get to the call in order to provide assistance. If you die or your vehicle breaks down on the way to the scene, that will likely result in the patient(s) dying that you were supposed to assist.
When you show up on the scene of a call, announce on radio that you are on scene. You want to make sure your lights are ON, sirens are OFF. For your safety and the safety of your patient, block oncoming traffic with your vehicle. This means placing your vehicle in-between oncoming traffic and your-self and patient. LOCK YOUR CAR WHILE YOU ARE OUT OF IT. Make initial contact with patient (I.e “EMS is here”). After initial contact has been made, run med script. If a patient is able to be revived, utilize the proper equipment to treat the patient before using the defibrillator to pick them up. ALWAYS remind patients they must wait at least 30 seconds before entering or mounting any vehicle. This is for their safety, as failure to do so will cause them to glitch out of the vehicle and possibly cause another accident. Remember, we are there to bring them back to life and make them feel comfortable and safe.... be courteous and professional.
If you get called to a PD scene, make sure you are parked out of the way of the robbery, standoff, etc. (usually to the side), plus behind and out of the way of an officer's vehicle. Make sure you are in PD Radio (Tac 1). The police will then tell you either it's safe to come in, or no stay back. DO NOT GO ON SCENE UNTIL AN OFFICER TELLS YOU IT IS CLEAR TO DO SO. Once you are cleared to go in, ALWAYS check and revive officers first. After officers are tended to, then you may proceed to the suspects, but ONLY get them up on their feet if an officer is nearby to secure the suspect, for your safety.
Same procedure as above, however, if all officers are down, the suspects that are remaining have control (I.e they can tell you to pick up the suspects first and leave the officers and you have to listen... fear for life state, remember that.)
