Standard Scenes Revive Policy:
Please transport ANY critically injured patients. (GSW, Significant Stab Wounds, Severe Burns, etc.) Create a whole RP scene out of everything given, especially if there is hospital staff active.
When you arrive on scene of a patient on their side, utilize your F1 menu and "Check Health Status." This will tell you one of these things: "Bleeding", "Blunt Force Trauma", "Unknown", "Gunshot", "Burn". After you "diagnose" you will use the appropriate equipment from your medical bag.
Gunshot - Use Tweezers to remove the bullet
Bleeding - Use The Suture Kit to sew up the bleeding wound
Blunt-Force Trauma - Use An Ice Pack and RP out securing it to the affected area
Unknown - Patient has unknown injury, this only requires the defibrillator
Burn - Use the Burn Cream and RP out wrapping gauze around the area to protect it from contamination
After patient's injuries are tended to, use your defibrillator to revive the patient while using correct RP terminology (learned during training).
Patients on their side are to be treated and stabilized first, as a patient is not considered deceased in medical terms until they are on their back.
If you arrive on scene of a patient on their back, attempt to assess their injuries with the F1 "Check Health Status" If they appear stable enough to treat on the field, utilize the Medical Bag and use the Defibrillator to get the patients heart rate in a normal rhythm.
IF HOSPITAL STAFF IS ACTIVE, YOU MUST TRANSPORT ANY FLATBACK PATIENT TO THE HOSPITAL!
CPR should be done by PD or a Civilian. If you arrive to a scene with a downed patient, they must be maintaining CPR on EMS' arrival and until EMS is ready to takeover. If patient was on their side when CPR was started, the patient is not considered to be flat-backed as long as CPR was in progress the entire time.
After dropping a patient off at the hospital, they will need to arrange transport back to where they wish to go, you will NOT take them back. EXCEPTION: you may take a PD Officer back to the station, but they should really have someone come and get them (just like IRL).
