Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Relations Committee

Purpose: Foster a vibrant relationship with members of the Daughters of the American Revolution to recruit new members, senior leaders, and support for C.A.R. activities and projects and encourage C.A.R. members to become dual members of C.A.R./DAR. 

Program: Expand on your involvement and strengthen your partnership with local DAR Chapters. 

Ideas for possible activities: 

1. Always remember to include DAR! Invite them to meetings, parades, community events, local, state, region and national meetings. 

2. Recruit and retain active dual members by promoting membership in both C.A.R. and DAR. 

3. Did you know that this is how the parent organization "Traveling Banners" are awarded at the National Convention? 

4. Present a program to DAR chapters about C.A.R. and Liberty’s Legacy. 

5. Enter contests and apply for scholarships sponsored by DAR (Found in the back of this packet). 

6. Encourage DAR members to “sign up” to be senior leaders and mentors. These are just SOME ideas for possible activities for this contest. We encourage and would like to see you create something new and exciting with your society for your submission.
