I had the privilege to be a team leader of educators statewide in the #TarletonOOC as part of my capstone project to complete my Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. I wrote a reflection essay about my experience as team lead in the OOC and graduate program at Tarleton:
As a former teacher and teacher librarian, I maintain a growth mindset and consistently seek professional development opportunities. One way I stay current with advancements in education is by attending TCEA (Texas Computer Education Association). The year 2026 marked my eleventh consecutive year participating in this event.

In 2023, I reinstated the Tiger Totes program in Glen Rose ISD. The program provides food for students in need to take home each weekend. In the spring of 2024, I wrote a grant for Tiger Totes funding and the program was awarded $10,000.

I am the co-chairman for the Tiger's Eye Award committee. Beginning in early spring, I begin organizing and coordinating all the meetings and voting committee for each year. I keep in communication with GRISD staff, community, recipient and family regarding the process. The recipient is recognized at the GRHS graduation and addresses the graduates with a speech.
My second-grade students were chosen to participate in a Weatherford ISD board meeting to demonstrate our utilization of digital tools for teaching and learning in my classroom.
