With a focus on performance skills, hip hop culture, and teamwork Chara Crew is the perfect opportunity to grow in confidence and dance skills.
Chara Crew is open to all dancers 10 years old and up. The dancers will learn 2 dances and compete 2 - 3 times per year. Placement is based on an audition that will be held on Thursday, May 8th at 7:45pm.
Auditions are open to dancers going into Hip Hop III+.
Audition Fee: $25
Mandatory Audition Prep Class: May 1st, 2025 | 7:45-9:00pm
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Dancers will execute the combo they learned on May 1st and anything else the director feels they need to see. (This could be skills, across the floor, freestyle, small additional combo)
WHAT DO I PROVIDE?
Dancers will need to pre-register via Enrollment Form and provide a headshot
WHAT TO WEAR?
Black leotard, black leggings or pants, a t-shirt or tank of any color, hair in a bun or ponytail and tennis shoes.
Must be 10 years old by September 1st
Must be enrolled in Hip Hop III+ at Chara Christian Dance Academy. (If auditioning from outside of Chara, must be at a Hip Hop III+ equivalent)
Attend weekly rehearsals on Tuesdays
Chara Crew Tuition: $33/month
Chara Crew Ensembles Tuition: $22/month
Competition Routines: $80-$90 per dance
Summer Intensive: $300
Costumes: $120 - $130 + tax (per costume)

Warm Ups - $100 + tax
(Girls Only) Make Up - $55
Estimated Fees for the Year: $1,100 - $1,200
Attend Summer Intensive. Technique classes are not required during the summer but highly encouraged.
