During the project, you will collect points in every task. Al llarg del projecte anireu sumant punts en cada tasca.

Each task helps you train one skill: Cada tasca entrena una habilitat:

• Vocabulary → Knowing your town

• 2 Brochures → Writing like a tourist guide

• Grammar → Speaking about the past

• Dialogue → Giving directions clearly

• Dossier → Being organised and professional

Al final, tot formarà part del vostre dossier professional de guia.

🟣 TASK 1 – VOCABULARY (Places in town)

✅ What do you have to do? WORK WITH THE BOOK

• Write at least 12 places in your town.

• Write:

  • The name of the place + TRANSLATE IN CATALAN

  • One sentence in the present (There is / There are) WITH EVERY WORD

  • One sentence in the past (There was / There were) WITH ALL

Example:

There is a market in my town.
There was a big market here last year.

✅ Què has de fer?

🟣 TASK 2 – TOURIST BROCHURES (2 OPTIONS)

Students must complete TWO brochures.

🏙 BROCHURE 1 – “MALGRAT IN A DAY” (Your town in one day)

🇬🇧 What do you have to do?

Create a 1-day tourist plan in your town on a paper.

Include:

• Morning activity

• Afternoon activity

• 3 important places

• 1 place to eat

• Use present tense (There is / There are)

Length: 80–100 words.

🌍 BROCHURE 2 – “VISIT CATALONIA IN 5 DAYS” (Travel Plan)

Create a 5-day travel plan around Catalonia- use Canva

Include:

• 5 different cities or places

• 1 activity per day

• Use past tense in at least 2 sentences (was / were)

• Say why each place is interesting

Length: 100–120 words.

Topic: Giving directions in your town.   

✅ What do you have to do?

Work in pairs and prepare a dialogue.

Include:

• One student asks for directions.

• One student gives directions.

• Use at least 1 place from the unit.

• Use 3 expressions:

  • Go straight

  • Turn left / right

  • Next to / Opposite / Between

• Include 1 sentence in the past (was / were).

Duration: 1–2 minutes.

🧳 FINAL ESCAPE MISSION – “TOURIST CHALLENGE DAY”

🇬🇧 Mission Story

A  group of kids from Türkiye is visiting your town, but they don't know what to visit! They need your help to visit the most important places before the day ends.

You must complete 4 challenges to save the tour.
If you complete all of them, you unlock the City Guide Certificate.

🧩 Challenge 1 – Map Master

Students receive a simple town map.
They must:

• Follow written directions

• Mark the correct place

🧩 Challenge 2 – Grammar Rescue

Correct 5 sentences using was / were.
If the grammar is correct, you receive the next clue.

🧩 Challenge 3 – Direction Race

In pairs, one student asks for directions.
The other gives correct instructions in less than 1 minute.

🧩 Challenge 4 – Tourist Question

Answer 3 questions about your town:

• What is the most important place?

• Where is it?

• Why is it special?

If the class completes all challenges successfully:
