Chamberlin, Hull, Hummer, and Snider Memorial Scholarship Fund

We have both been blessed in many ways. In particular, we have been blessed with loving families. In memory of seven of those loving family members -- our deceased grandparents -- we have created the Chamberlin, Hull, Hummer, and Snider Memorial Scholarship Fund. You can learn a bit more about each of them through the videos at the bottom of this page.

The Chamberlin, Hull, Hummer, and Snider Scholarship provides financial support to St. Joseph County college students in perpetuity. Professional management of the fund's investment and administration of the scholarship process is provided by the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County. Education has been transformative in each of our lives, and we hope this endowed fund will be a springboard to similar opportunities for local students for many years to come.

As of 2025, the endowment fund balance exceeds $100,000! The next awardee will receive a $3,000 scholarship, renewable annually for up to $12,000 total in tuition assistance.

The Chamberlin, Hull, Hummer and Snider Memorial Scholarship Fund is administered by the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County. All contributions are tax deductible under IRS 501(c)(3) guidelines.

The video above, which was prepared for our wedding reception, remembers three grandfathers who died before our relationship began. It features several grandmothers who are no longer with us, including Grandma Snider who died in 2020. In 2017, Grandma Hull died at the age of 98. On Christmas day in 2017 we lost Grandpa Chamberlin, and the HHS Fund became the CHHS Fund. After faithfully donating to the fund, Grandma Chamberlin died peacefully in 2022. Their lives are remembered in the videos below.
