This year our club became a class! Conservation Crew still meets at lunch every Thursday for fundraising, activities, and awareness. The Sustainable Systems class is learning about the all about environmentalism through a scientific perspective and taking on new projects every day! We visited the Flathead Lake Biological Research Station, and the Columbia Falls Water Waste Facility. Our projects included trash pickups, clothing swaps, plastic and aluminum recycling, and elimination of Styrofoam lunch trays.
2018 was full of learning! Our club visited the Algae AquaCulture Technologies, Whitefish High School Garden, and our annual trip to Glacier. Our projects included a City Hall Trash Audit, implementing aluminum recycling, and reducing styrofoam lunch trays.
2017 is the founding year of our club! We raised funds for aluminum recycling and gained members and support.
