How to Sign Up for SSI

• Only apply after already applying for SSDI and being told there are not enough "work points"​

• Apply on the Social Security website OR make an appointment over the phone with the local office​

• Questions will be asked regarding the client's disability and disability history​

• Help the client prepare a list of symptoms for their disability in order to be prepared​ for their meeting

• Requirements:

1. Must have applied for SSDI and been rejected due to low work points

2. Need some form of documentation of disability

3. Need some scattered work experiences
