About Me

The Man, The Myth, The Legend?

My journey to becoming a nurse practitioner has been shaped by resilience. I have lived most of my life with chronic illnesses that have influenced both my perception of the world and my understanding of health. As someone living with type 1 diabetes, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, I learned early what it means to navigate the healthcare system not as a provider, but as a patient.

As a child, my life revolved around appointments, hospital visits, and diagnostic testing. I often felt different, a feeling further reinforced by my identity as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Yet these experiences have given me a unique lens through which I view patient care. I hope that the patients who share similar identities and challenges can trust me to understand their needs and advocate for them with compassion.

What I bring to the role of a provider is a deeply rooted commitment to empathy and patient-centered care. At my core, I believe I am in the business of people, not just medicine.

My Perspective

I want to empower my patients with the knowledge so that they can confidently manage their diseases and share their experience with others. I believe in a chain-reaction of positive health behaviors.
