Day 7

(06/13/2024) - (Jasmine and Alyssa)

Hola amigos! It's Alyssa and Jasmine here :) 

We started our morning with pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, and fruit (delicious as always). 

Today, the blue and yellow teams went to a men's and women's rehab center. We shared testimonies (Alan, Samuel, Irene, Ollie, Jasmine) and heard the testimonies from the people in rehab. Then we sang worship songs together and some of us played musical chairs, rock paper scissors, and hot potato with the people there. The others went to go prepare lunch for the people there (Jasmine, Cindy, Samuel, Allen, and Ethan). 

For lunch, we had hamburgers which included tomatoes, lettuce, patty, and cheese (it was amazing). 

After eating, we made bracelets and did crafts including balloons (in the shape of balloons and swords) with the people there. They were particularly impressed with Jasmine's craft skills (rightfully so). 

When it was time to leave, some of the ladies came to hug all the girls, which was super sweet and heartwarming. 

When we got back to base, we (Elijah, Jasmine, Cindy, Ethan, Alyssa) bought milkshakes from the cafe! They were a 10/10 and would definitely get them again :) 

After that, our group went to the worship hall and ate a dinner which consisted of pizza and salad. During dinner, we discussed questions reflecting on our time in Ensenada. 

Then, we listened to a sermon by Ivan which talked about making room for God and having a purpose in life. 

Finally, we had our last worship session and did church clap (on stage too!!) 

Last, but not least, we went to get tacos which were a 10/10!!
