Day 8 - 6/13/25 (Jessica Chen and Ella Guan, the coolest ones)
Ella - Last Day! First, we had yummy muffins for breakfast. ππΒ
After we packed and cleaned up our rooms, we hanged out outside, saying goodbyes to the MA staff. π’
We piled our bed sheets, pillow sheets, towels, and blankets as instructed. ππ
We held a ceremony to send off our shoes that got ruined during the Amazing Race or could not fit in our suit cases. ππ
We had a sentimental worship session on a 5-string guitar (should be 6 strings) to recap the week's songs. ππ
β¬οΈβ¬οΈ Group Picture! We said our final goodbyes and got in vans to leave.Β
Jessica C and Cindy suggested getting hotpot for lunch, but we ultimately decided together to go to Las Americas Premium Outlets! βοΈβοΈ
But before that, we needed to cross the border. We ate Elijah's taco chips while we waited in line, and soon enough, we successfully stepped foot back into San Diego. π΄π΄
Jessica - Las Americas Premium Outlets was a quick walk from the border, just across the street. We all walked there and got Panda Express (except for some girls, who got aΓ§ai bowls, and Cindy and Ella, who got ramen from a Korean convenience store). We used Ollie's Panda Express points to buy a free meal! He gained more than 2,000 points! π₯ πππ₯‘
Here is a great food review done by Samuel, Aaron, and Ethan, but since I cannot upload a video, here is a photo of Ethan's food.Β
Our flight is at 9pm, so we had A LOT (-Cindy) of extra time to hang around before leaving for the airport.Β
Most of the group went to Hollister (Jessica bought a great lobster sweater), Tilly's, and Starbucks. They also got gummies from the mall because it is National Outlet Shopping Day! ππ
Ella and Cindy went to a thrift store, Puma, and H&M. Cindy bought new shoes, and Ella bought a secret gift for Uncle Tommy for Father's Day! ππ
We left to go to the airport around 4pm. Most of the Ubers had small trunks, so some of us had to carry suitcases in their laps. Uncle Tommy's team's Uber had a screen! It was very cool. πΊπΊ
We got to the airport. Uncle David's team was the slowest π’. All the other teams arrived and had to wait for more than 15 minutes for them to arrive! Here is a picture of Aaron waiting. ππ
We finally got through security and settled at Gate 11. For dinner, we had to choose between Urban Crave--a burger restaurant--and the food market. Irene got a turkey sandwich and yoghurt from the food market, while everyone else bought burgers and chicken sandwiches from the restaurant.Β
Good news, our plane arrived early! We will leave on time around 9pm, and are expected to arrive around 10:30pm. Everyone is doing their own thing. Edward is texting Kai. Brian K is journaling. Samuel is doom scrolling. Ella is making bracelets. I am writing the blog.Β
Ella again - We arrived back in San Jose Airport! βοΈβοΈΒ (Jessica's ear kept hurting)
After we arrived at San Jose Airport, we split up ππ and went back to church in different vans at different times. YWAM was very fun and a memory to remember forever and ever. βΎοΈ
