Day 2 - 6/7/25 (Alyssa Ma & Elijah Guan)
Hola! This is Day 2 of our trip!
ermmmmmm we kinda goofed off and we waited until 9:36 pm to start writing this
So today we woke up at around 7am. We had bacon, scrambled eggs, and fruit and yogurt for breakfast (the average, boring, continental American breakfast :D)
During morning session, we played the shoe game, where you held one of your shoes on your palm and had to knock out other people's shoes while defending your own. In addition, we did evangelism training and learned the five finger gospel (God's creation, sin entered the world, separated us from God, but God's love saved us, and His promise offers us hope).
Then, we had lunch which was DIY nachos, guacamole, corn, and salsa, along with watermelon juice (which Auntie Windy looovveeedd). After that we had our afternoon session which included of more evangelism training. There were Spanish learning stations, balloon-making stations, skit learning, and dancing stations (which me and Alyssa joined). After, we had the amazing race. The race included 9 minigames, all of which were really fun and tiring. Unfortunately, Elijah was caught "cheating", which resulted in a 1 minute time penalty. Even with the penalty, red team was still able to get 4th place. Ollie and green team, on the other hand, unfortunately got last place, but no one got hurt this time yay :) (Elijah was also able to do the USC ice bucket challenge again)
In addition, Brian Li and Ollie had a very conflicting moment. Brian invaded into Ollie' personal space. I'm not saying more than that. and ollie had a reasonable crash out :)))
Before dinner, we decided to play the poison game. Elijah lost a lot of the roundsFor dinner, we had hamburgers and fries (a typical American meal... again), as well as horchata (cinnamon and spice milk). After, we had a lot of time to chill before evening session. During evening session, we had another game, which was "nailed it or failed it," and unfortunately all of CCIC got out on the first round :((
In the sermon, the speaker talked about giving up everything to follow Christ. He talked about how the lamb is worthy of receiving the reward of his sacrifice and then we had worship (which was fire as always :)).
And after that we were looking at the photos from Amazing Race and chilling a little bit :) (P.S. Alyssa looked so so angry today for some random reason, but then again, she is always angry so yk....)
And now we're writing this blog and we just finished at curfew :|
