Students will see key tasks to complete in their To Do list
Note: There may be To Dos that are not for the campus the student is going to - this often looks like seeing the same task multiple times.
See To Dos by campus by clicking on ‘more’ under the To Do List and complete ones that say LaGuardia CC under “Institution”
If your financial aid says “financial aid pending”, that means that the FAFSA was processed and you don’t have other steps you need to take right now.
Please review the General Enrollment guide to get a sense of how to complete this step.

Context: The student needs to confirm their NYC Residency to receive in-city tuition rates.
What to do: Students who graduated from a NYC high school should not face this challenge. If they do, fill out this form and submit two documents from this list along with green card or US Passport or Naturalization certificate. Or call the Admissions Office.
Context: The student needs to complete an affidavit regarding their immigration status. This information will be kept confidential.
What to do: Fill out and submit this form.
Context: The Campus needs proof that the student has graduated to enroll them. For most DOE students this will automatically be sent in July.
What to do: If this is still a Hold in late July, follow up with High School or send a photo of HS diploma to Admissions@lagcc.cuny.edu along with EMPLID
At LaGuardia, meeting with an Advisor is optional. The first step is to respond to an email to meet with your advisor.
Students will get a survey to complete about their major and what days/times they would like classes.
Students get an email from their Advisor with an auto-generated schedule.
Students then respond to this email to confirm the schedule, ask for changes or request a meeting with their advisor.

Students can attend an Info Session with break-out sessions with advisors, Registrar, Financial Aid, Career, and Transfer office. These happen biweekly through the summer.
New Student Orientation is usually the week before classes start.
Students will receive outreach from the CD office if they qualify. The first step is to attend a CD Info Session! Info sessions will be hosted throughout June and July.
This then begins the rest of the process (sign contracts, meet with their advisors to enroll and attend the program’s orientation).
If students haven’t received an invite and want to know if they are eligible, they should check their financial eligibility and email: college_discovery@lagcc.cuny.edu
Julianne Salazar: College_Discovery@lagcc.cuny.edu
Students will receive outreach from the ASAP office if they qualify. They need to go through an info session, sign contracts, meet with their advisors to enroll and attend the program’s orientation (aside from the college’s orientation). At LaGuardia students get a Laguardia email 5 days after they register for classes.
This new email will be sent to their personal email account that they use for CUNYFirst and it is posted on the students’ VIP. Students can look-up their information (after registering for classes) at www.laguardia.edu/idlookup
If there’s an issue with logging in, they can report the issue on the look up screen by clicking on eTOOLS HELP. If they want more info – please direct them to INFONOW@lagcc.cuny.edu

You need to create your LaGuardia VIP Account
This account is different than your CUNYFirst Account.
Your VIP login name and password was in your acceptance email. If you can’t find it, click “forgot password”
In your VIP Account, you’ll see your class schedule based on LaGuardia’s recommendations
You have to review it in CUNYFirst and then click “Accept” in your VIP account
In CUNYFirst, you can click “launch schedule builder” and sort classes by remote, in-person, etc.
Even if you want to change some of your classes, you should click “Accept”. You can change the classes afterwards.
Once you’ve registered for classes, you’ll get an email to make an appointment to meet with an advisor.
In August, sometimes students will be invited to meet with an advisor before they have a schedule (this is more common as we get closer to the first day of classes)
If you’re having a hard time with the VIP Page, email infonow@lagcc.cuny.edu or call 718-482-5000
