Context: The student needs to confirm their NYC Residency to receive in-city tuition rates.
What to do: Students who graduated from a NYC high school should not face this challenge. If they do, fill out this form or call the admissions office.
Context: The student needs to complete an affidavit regarding their immigration status. This information will be kept confidential.
What to do: Fill out and submit this form.
Context: This is a hold for all degree-seeking students prior to registration each term. It means the student needs to speak with an advisor in order to have the hold removed.
What to do: Speak with an advisor! Check email for information about making an advisement appointment.
If students haven’t received an invitation to schedule their appointment, they can email the Academic Advisement & Transfer Center at aatc@bmcc.cuny.edu.
At BMCC, the first step is students will receive an email from aatc@bmcc.cuny.edu to set up a 1-1 advising session.
It is recommended that students complete their orientation prior to their advisement appointment, but it is not required to complete prior to advisement.

At BMCC, students can activate their BMCC email 48 hours after they have registered. If students have difficulty they should contact the Service Desk at servicedesk@bmcc.cuny.edu.
