STEP 2: Complete Financial Aid To Dos

Students will see key tasks to complete in their To Do list

Note: There may be To Dos that are not for the campus the student is going to - this often looks like seeing the same task multiple times.

See To Dos by campus by clicking on ‘more’ under the To Do List and complete ones that say Citytech under “Institution”

STEP 4: Address Holds!

Holds prevent students from registering for classes.
Some To Dos become Holds and you’ll see in both places

Here are some common Holds and what you need to do at Citytech:

Admissions Services Indicator: Need Proof of NYC Residency

Context: The student needs to confirm their NYC Residency to receive in-city tuition rates.

What to do: Students who graduated from a NYC high school should not face this challenge. If they do, fill out this form or call the admissions office.

Admissions Services Indicator: Affidavit/Undocumented

Context: The student needs to complete an affidavit regarding their immigration status. This information will be kept confidential.

What to do: Fill out and submit this form.

Advisement Required Hold

Context: This is a hold for all new students, it cannot be removed. It means the student needs to speak with an advisor before they can register for classes.

What to do: Speak with an advisor! Check email for information about making a registration appointment.

STEP 5: Advisement/Orientation

Contact the Academic Advisement at 718.260.5013 to schedule an appointment to attend an advisement and registration workshop at the New Student Center. See citytech new student checklist for additional information.
