Volunteers in the CCA Summer Recreation Program play a key role in maintaining the positive energy at the swim beach and Cognashene Kinders. Volunteer duties include but are not limited to:
assisting with beach set up and clean up;
catching boats and launching boats on swim beach;
assisting with tying up boats at Church Docks;
playing games with campers on beach;
assisting staff and campers at Cognashene Kinders;
assisting in swimming lessons as needed.
Volunteers will take direction from the Recreation Program Director and Swimming and Watersports Leads. Hours worked in the program can be counted towards Community Service Hours for High School Graduation requirements if applicable.
Working as a volunteer is an excellent way to develop leadership skills and other critical employment skills for future jobs. It is also an excellent way to stay involved and busy in the Recreation Program as campers get older and look for new and exciting challenges.
Volunteers are expected at all swimming lessons and Cognashene Kinders.
