Swimming Lessons: take place on Arthur Island on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Swimmers will be working towards certification in Lifesaving Society Levels. Swimmers will need to be present for more than 3 weeks of the program to be able to earn a swimming level. Swimming is open to campers from Parent & Tot to Bronze levels. The end of the summer beach party is our final celebration of the swimming milestones of our campers.
Y.P.O.C. - Young People of Cognashene: Available to our older campers (10 - 13 years old). Y.P.O.C. allows campers to explore the Cognashene area. Weather permitting campers will meet at the swim beach and travel to places like the Lizard, Aunt Edna's, Giants Tomb etc. Y.P.O.C. will take place on Monday afternoons.
Sailing Program: Available to our senior campers (7 years - 13 years). This is an OPTIONAL ADD ON ($40.00 extra) for families at registration. This program will provide campers with entry level sailing instruction in the basics of small recreational Laser PICO sail boats. Campers will learn the parts of the boat, how to tie basic sailing knots, how to capsize and right a boat, as well as the basics of sailing. This is a community based program instructional program and we do not offer certification through the CanSail program. Sailing takes place at Arthur Beach/
Water Sports & Boating: Available to senior campers (7 years - 13 years). At water sports and boating campers will learn to canoe, kayak, tie knots, as well as engage in a variety of other fun water-based activities. Water Sports and Boating takes place at Arthur Beach.
Cognashene Kinders: Available to our Junior campers (2 years - 6 years) on Tuesday mornings. Cognashene Kinders engage our campers in fun arts and crafts projects as well as story and snack time. Kinders runs at the Cognashene Community Church. Parents are asked to remain on site during this time.
Camp Cognashene: A full day camp program for our Senior Campers (7 years to 13 years) that runs on Thursday at Arthur Beach. Campers must bring a packed lunch. Each week of the program will have a different theme. Campers can expect to learn new skills, play co-operative games and have a fun time on the beach playing with their friends. Campers are asked to come prepared with weather-appropriate clothing as well as a change of clothes/swim suits/towels/sunscreen as needed.

Please Note: for campers who are appropriate age to participate in afternoon activities we recommend the packing of a lunch and remaining at the beach between swimming lessons and afternoon programs (Monday and Wednesday) if campers are planning on staying at the beach.
