Arriving at Arthur Beach

Arthur Beach is located on the North/East side of Arthur Island in Cognashene.

During the summer months the entrance to the beach will have markers out indicating the passage boaters should take as they arrive to the beach. When approaching the beach it is important to have the GREEN marker to your right and the RED marker to your left. You should pass between the two markers.  There are rocks submerged beneath the water off both points of the beach.

There is also usually a white marker on a shoal (which is marked by the cottage near the beach).

With the water levels lower this year it could be possible to hit some of the boulders that are underwater throughout the entryway of the beach outside of the marked area.

Boaters should avoid making close cuts to either point surrounding the beach. Boats are advised to swing wide and approach from the middle of the beach (near the white marker). The southern side of the beach property has several boulders underwater extending from the point.

As always we ask that families approach and leave the beach at a slow speed.
