This document summarizes, at a high level, the current state of library services in our school district based on the Iowa School Library Program Standards.

TL1: The K-12 library curriculum supports the reading life of students and addresses inquiry, information literacy, and digital literacy.
By the end of the 2025-26 school year, a recommendation for a comprehensive PK-12 school library curriculum will be made to district leadership.
TL4: TL teaches skills and understandings required for digital literacy and the safe, legal, and ethical use of digital resources.
By the end of the 2024-25 school year, the TL will review the district computer science curriculum to determine what aspects of this anchor standard are currently being taught at each grade level.
LM3: The library provides experiences with and access to a current and diverse collection of resources, fiction and nonfiction, print and digital, to support student and curriculum needs.
By the end of the 2024-25 school year, a detailed collection development policy and plan will be completed to guide future work focused on providing students and staff with high-quality and diverse materials and resources.
LM8: The career development plan directs professional development to foster leadership competence and creativity in developing instruction, services and programs for the library.
By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, a professional development plan will be in place to guide the ongoing professional development needs of the Teacher-Librarian.
