This document summarizes, at a high level, the current state of library services in our school district based on the Iowa School Library Program Standards.

Goals
TL1: The K-12 library curriculum supports the reading life of students and addresses inquiry, information literacy, and digital literacy.
By the end of the 2025-26 school year, a recommendation for a comprehensive PK-12 school library curriculum will be made to district leadership.
TL4: TL teaches skills and understandings required for digital literacy and the safe, legal, and ethical use of digital resources.
By the end of the 2024-25 school year, the TL will review the district computer science curriculum to determine what aspects of this anchor standard are currently being taught at each grade level.
LM3: The library provides experiences with and access to a current and diverse collection of resources, fiction and nonfiction, print and digital, to support student and curriculum needs.
By the end of the 2024-25 school year, a detailed collection development policy and plan will be completed to guide future work focused on providing students and staff with high-quality and diverse materials and resources.
LM8: The career development plan directs professional development to foster leadership competence and creativity in developing instruction, services and programs for the library.
By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, a professional development plan will be in place to guide the ongoing professional development needs of the Teacher-Librarian.

How has the District articulated a plan for providing K-12 library skills, information literacy, and integrated technology instruction for all students?
How does the district ensure equitable access for all students and staff to library resources and licensed school librarians?
Describe how the district develops and maintains current library collections of print and electronic resources that support the curricula, accommodate diverse learning needs, and encourage reading engagement.
