Depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar and personality disorders, codependency and addiction (heavy active addictions may be referred out), self-image, esteem, and acceptance issues, difficult/abusive family dynamics, trauma and PTSD, narcissistic abuse and gaslighting recovery, relationship problems, life transitions, and career issues.
This approach is recommended for people who are ready to learn more about themselves and get out of their own way. One should not underestimate the power of a stable sense of self. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses, what you believe in, your limits and boundaries, etc.- is the gift that truly keeps on giving. If that feels overwhelming, or just impossible, that is why I am here. I will help guide the process to allow you to understand, accept, and love yourself as you are.
Psychodynamic therapy is also great for people who have struggled to feel connected and challenged in past therapeutic experiences. I have had success with many clients who otherwise struggle to open up to anyone. It may take time, but if you're willing, I am able!
I have experience working with LGBTQ+ people, and those in non-traditional relationships or families.
