About the Story
Rose Marie Tapia is a recognized Panamanian author who started her literary journey in the year 2000. She won an honorary mention in the prestigious contest of Ricardo Miró and has published an impressive amount of 27 novels.
Travesía Mágicas is a heartfelt and emotional story of an aunt and his nephew published in 2002. The story carries a narrative style with a very emotional diction, making this story an impactful one. It is a fictional story of emotional adventures between a boy, his imagination, and his lovely aunt.
The reason why I chose this novel is because of the impact it had on my childhood. I remember receiving this book in 5th grade and not wanting to read it. As a child, I only saw the book as boring words on paper. After reading it, and still remembering it 12 years later, I can say that it has been one of the most impactful books I have ever read.

Comments:
After taking a sample from Travesías Mágicas, translating it to English, and then showing its phonetic transcription, I have the following conclusions.
While the differences were mainly in vowel sound and vowel lengths, it was surprising to know that the consonant sounds, in these sentences, were almost identical. The only consonant sound that differed between them was the "r" in "hair", which is not surprising in British pronunciations where the "r" is usually omitted.
Another very peculiar thing was that the stress in every word was identical. For some reason, I thought that they would be different, but I was proved wrong.
I also noticed that the British pronunciation tends to reduce the schwa vowel in pronunciations, making it shorter and writing it as a superscript. It also made many vowels longer, which I understood when I listened to the text in British and American English.
