Chapter Beginning:
"En un lugar recóndito de Barcelona, bajo el sol de una tarde cálida de otoño, se encontraba el Cementerio de los Libros Olvidados. Un laberinto de estanterías que parecía extenderse hasta el infinito, lleno de libros desbordados por el paso del tiempo. Cuando Daniel Sempere, un niño de diez años, cruzó sus puertas por primera vez, no sabía que aquel sería el día que cambiaría su vida para siempre. El padre de Daniel, quien le había llevado hasta allí, le advirtió que cuidara el libro que eligiera, pues en ese lugar se escondían secretos oscuros, recuerdos perdidos y leyendas olvidadas. Sin embargo, nada podía prever lo que ocurriría a partir de aquel momento."

"Daniel sabía que no podía huir de la sombra que se cernía sobre él. Al igual que el protagonista de las novelas que tanto amaba, su vida se había entrelazado con un misterio que ya no podía desentrañar por completo. Sin embargo, algo en su interior le decía que debía seguir adelante, que, aunque las sombras eran densas y el peligro acechaba a cada paso, su destino ya estaba sellado. - "A faint light gleamed" (DeepL) instead of “shone” (Google Translate).
