I have practiced taekwondo for 13 years, dedicating myself to the sport and going 5 times a week, each lasting 1 hour. Additionally, I have also attended the extra MMA classes one a week, which has helped me broaden my skill set and gain exposure to different martial arts techniques such as Muay Thai, Boxing, and BJJ. Currently, I am preparing for the test of my full Black Belt, a milestone that reflects my commitment and perseverance through this long journey. Training in Taekwondo requires discipline, focus, and resilience, both physically and mentally. The sport emphasized the importance of self-control and respect, values that I have incorporated into my daily life. My training routine is intense, and balancing it with academics demanded a strong sense of time management and organizational skills. Each practice session has contributed to my strength, flexibility, and mental toughness, and participating in tournaments, and belt tests taught me how to perform under pressure and handle challenging situations. Preparing for the full black belt test involves refining my techniques and forms, maintaining a high level of fitness, and ensuring my mental preparedness. This experience is not just about achieving a new rank but also about recognizing the years of hard work and the life lessons I have gained along the way. It has shaped my character, teaching me the importance of perseverance, leadership, and continuous self-improvement. I am excited and motivated to demonstrate my skills as I approach the significant milestone.Â
