Description
There was not much for this unit, just a SIMPath and a few other smaller things. We learned about databases, more specifically, data, information, knowledge, and wisdom.
Data are the raw, unprocessed facts obtained by measurement instruments.
Information is the data that has been processed and structured.
Knowledge is the ability to use information strategically to achieve each objective.
Wisdom is the ability to select objects that support the goal.
Lessons Learned:
Though this lesson was short and simplified, I still learned quite a bit. I learned that I probably would not have looked into it or gained that knowledge beforehand. I now know the differences in these database technical details and will be able to distinguish them in the future.
