For this project, we had to pair up with another person in our class. I partnered with Alyson, and we both researched different topics such as language, climate, population, the digital divide, and technology usage. Alyson covered Iceland, and I covered Tokyo.
Location Information:
One interesting fact about Tokyo is that it is characterized as an “informational city,” where mass media and niche publications saturate daily life and significantly influence identity formation.
One interesting fact about Iceland is that 99% of the population has internet access, which is why it is often referred to as “Digital Iceland.”
Lessons Learned:
Through this project, I gained a lot more knowledge about Tokyo and Iceland from Alyson’s research. I also pushed myself to use Word more effectively to make sure everything was easy to understand. Alyson and I worked well together, even though we did not know each other beforehand, and mainly communicated through email. We both shared our research and collaborated to successfully complete the PowerPoint.
