Project Description:
For this project, I had to use Google News to find two articles that discussed at least one of the many topics we have covered in Unit 4, and evaluate these sources and their accuracy.

The truthfulness and integrity of the facts: The article is on a website that has cybersecurity news.
How is it written and presented?
Links and Citations: Includes internal links that are all clickable and working.
In 2024, a 25-year-old man named Ryan Mitchell Kramer pleaded guilty to hacking Disney. He disguised malware as an AI-generated art tool, which an unsuspecting employee downloaded onto a personal computer. This allowed Kramer to access credentials and steal approximately 1.1 TB of sensitive data from thousands of Disney Slack channels, including unreleased projects and source code.
The cybersecurity incident was later classified as a targeted malware attack that exploited social engineering and compromised credentials. As a result, Disney halted Slack use for internal communications to mitigate further risk. To prevent similar incidents, organizations should enforce stricter endpoint security policies, including restricting the use of personal devices for work purposes.

The truthfulness and integrity of the facts: Considered accurate, verified source, direct statement from the Philadelphia Department of Revenue
How is it written and presented? Too many ads, video from a news broadcast was embedded, but information was also written in a transcript style.
Links and Citations: Many links to different ads and articles.
The article warns Philadelphia residents about a phishing and tech scam impersonating the Department of Revenue. The scam involves sending text messages with a malicious link that claims to be a tax refund notification in an attempt to steal sensitive banking and financial information. The scam targets residents receiving unexpected tax-related messages, but the city’s database has not been compromised.
To protect yourself, do not click links in unsolicited messages that claim to offer refunds or request financial details. Immediately report such scams to authorities, such as the FBI, and always verify refund or financial requests through official channels before sharing personal information.
Lesson Learn
I thought I knew a lot about digital security and how to handle it. I did not know that it went this deep down, and I feel like I am now much more informed on how digital security functions and what to do if I get any malware
