This year we had multiple elections and forums to work. Not only did we have city council races, we had state races to consider. This was the year that Michelle Beckley called being gay a "sexual preference". We called it to her attention, that "sexual preference" was a insulting phrase to the LGBTQ community, she restated the phrase twice in her answer trying to explain how she respected everyone's "sexual preference".
