Carolyn was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia where she played Varsity Basketball & Soccer her junior and senior year. Her team won the 5AAAAA State Girls Championship in which Carolyn scored the goal that led them to a tying victory! She was an athletic scholar all her years in school, and attended Alan C. Pope High School in Marietta, GA.
Carolyn attended the Georgia Institute of Technology for two years and later completed her Bachelor of Science Mathematics degree from Kennesaw State University in 2007.
Carolyn resides in Olathe, Kansas with her husband, Dr. Paul Wu; and their two sons, Daniel and David. Before moving to the Greater Kansas City region, Carolyn served alongside her husband at Yale University where he was doing his post-doctorate in the Department of Pathology. Currently Dr. Paul Wu works for Genentech, one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies. Both Carolyn and Paul work remotely from home. Since 2016, Carolyn has been awarded the Certified International Property Specialist Designation with the National Association of Realtors. Carolyn has been serving her clients for over 6 years. Carolyn is currently a real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty Partners Inc. in Overland Park, and has a real estate license in both Missouri and Kansas. In addition to all this, Carolyn loves to eat healthy and exercise regularly! She is a wellness advocate for the health and wellbeing of each individual in society. She believes that everyone should take care of their bodies to the utmost, so that they can enjoy their life more fully and function with greater satisfaction! Carolyn hopes to edify her students & class by being a Christ-like example of what it means to serve in love. She hopes to leave a legacy of encouragement, steadfastness, perseverance, integrity & generosity.
Carolyn also can be found around town painting, photographing, walking and hiking! Her artwork can be seen on display from time to time at Blue Koi Restaurant in Leawood! At home, she enjoys furthering her education by taking online courses regarding technology integration in the school classroom as well as buying and reading new children's books!
Carolyn has never met a stranger. So if you ever see her, make sure you say, "Hello!" and be sure to share your story! She loves meeting people from various cultures and backgrounds. What first drew Carolyn into education is her love for all cultures and nationalities! Carolyn served the inner city Atlanta after school program as a volunteer regularly when she attend Georgia Institute of Technology. She was able to work with diverse ethnic groups as well as serve a community in need. In addition to this, Carolyn has served as a tutor in all subjects for 15+ years.
