Flexible musician:

I am always seeking out new composers who, both they and their compositions, provide a diverse, and inclusive list of peoples and music. I embrace and seek out ways to explore and to listen to music from all possible ways humans engage in music. I am always curious to learn about music practices that are unfamiliar to me, and seek them out not only to learn about them myself, but to bring these ideas and practices to my students as well.

Wind Band REPERTOIRE List (grades i-iii)

This is an inclusive and diverse list of 30 composers and compositions, that represent music types and peoples from all over the world. I hope to use these pieces to teach my students, not just the music from these cultures, but their histories, stories, and the composers who wrote about them.
