By using the movie "Fantasia" as a springboard as well as creating a positive learning environment, I was able to instill a learning atmosphere packed with vibrancy, generativity and residue. Through engaging the learners and deepening their understanding, I was able to improve their artistic literacy.

This video shares the beginning of the lesson where students are tasked to draw as a response to the music, then describe how the music informed what they drew. This was activity all of the students enjoyed very much and all of them were very excited to share their creations with the class with each song we drew. The students often referred back to their drawings in the following lessons.
