Hi there. I am Carl Schulze, let me tell you a little about myself.
Qualifications and Education
I attended Vega university at the start of 2022 where I studied for 3 years, I was taught on a range of topics from Mathematics and physics that are essential to creating good gameplay, to narrative design to assist me in writing engaging and immersive stories.
Over the 3 years of study, I often achieved distinctions in Game Design and Programming.
I completed an amazing boot camp course in mastering game mechanics, taught by Alexander Brazie.
I learnt a lot from him and I was able to hone my skills further because of the amazing course he had set up as well as the extremely talented instructors that made up the team.
Personal Experience
I first started working with computers with HTML and CSS, teaching myself web development basics before I started on JavaScript. After which I pivoted to game design and making small games.
I have been working in game design and learning new skills for since 2018. I initially started with Unreal Engine 4 in 2018 but had to stop as life got in the way.
I got back into game development in December of 2019 with Unity and released my first game at the end of January 2020.
Since then I have worked with Python, C++, Lua, SQL and many more languages.
I made a small Minecraft mod when I was much younger but sadly can not find it anymore.
I have released many small games both independently and with a team on itch.io and am currently working on a new project that will be released to steam.
I have also made a mobile game that is in the process of being published to the google play store. It will not be available on IOS due to limiting factors.

I have worked very closely with every available tool for game development, I know how to use Unity as if it is an extension of my body, additionally I have spent considerable time working in Unreal Engine 5 for freelancing and small projects. I have also worked briefly with Godot.
As for non game engines. I am quite comfortable working on Blender and use it often for testing 3d models and animation. 3DS max and I have history together and I know it fairly well. And my favourite tool to sculpt with would have to be ZBrush without a doubt.
