IB Career-related Programme

IBCP CORE

The IB Career-related Programme (CP) core is designed to provide students with a well-rounded, practical education that prepares them for both academic and career success. It consists of four key components: Career-related Study, Personal and Professional Skills (PPS), Community Engagement, and the Reflective Project. These elements are integrated to develop students' academic abilities, critical thinking, and personal growth while fostering a sense of responsibility and ethical awareness in both their careers and communities.

Career-related Study: This involves the career-related courses or vocational education offered by a partner institution, which is central to the CP, supporting students’ career aspirations.

Personal and Professional Skills (PPS): A core component that focuses on developing skills such as critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and personal reflection, which are key to both career and personal development.

Community Engagement: This involves students participating in community service or projects that connect them to the wider world. It's aimed at fostering a sense of responsibility and global citizenship.

Reflective Project: This is an independent research project where students explore an ethical dilemma related to their career-related study. It involves critical analysis, research, and reflection on ethical issues.
