The Professional Education, Training, and Research Unit (PETRU) is a centralized unit for training and research that enhances the skills, productivity, and quality of work of hospital staff through ongoing education. It is directly overseen by the Medical Center Chief.
PETRU is tasked with carrying out Training Needs Assessments (TNA) to identify any required external learning interventions, based on specific needs or legal requirements. Training Officers are responsible for rigorously implementing a monitoring and evaluation system for all development programs.
