Working for over 16 years at the University of Twente, I gathered a wide variety of experience in the field of education, research, and support. I started as a Programme Coordinator for Business Administration, was the coordinator of Twente Graduate School for some years and now I am mainly working as a Quality Assurance Coordinator Education for the Faculty of EEMCS. Besides that, I have been the chairperson of the University of Twente Platform Quality Assurance (UTpK) and project manager of the Quality Agreements for my faculty of EEMCS for six years now.

As far as participation is concerned, I was an employee member of the Faculty Council of EEMCS for two years and as such really learned a lot about my faculty! For the last four years, I have been an employee member of the University Council and after gathering so much experience I am enthusiastic and looking forward to being a part of the University Council again in these, for our University, challenging political and financial times!  

My passion and interest primarily lie in the field of the education, research, and student affairs committee (OOS). Also, personnel and HR-related topics can count on my attention: in this field, you can achieve things that are directly relevant for all UT employees, so this is very rewarding and motivating!

I’m well aware that the political developments with regard to internalization and the proposed austerity policy of our new government on universities will present many challenges for us in the near future. Hopefully, I will get a chance to bring in my expertise and background knowledge and provide the University Council with some continuity on dossiers for the coming two years.
