Peaks and Palletes: The Creative Magic of Makisining Uncovered focuses on the inner working of the Culture and Arts Organization, MakiSining. Established in 2011, MakiSining has since been holding events and activities specifically for the field of visual arts. In this episode, we are joined by an industry expert and MakiSining founder, Marvin Oloris, in discussing the past, the present, and the future of the said organization. Stay Tuned!
Marvin Oloris is a Civil Engineering Graduate from the University of the Philippines, Los Baños. His love for the arts began during his college years. He joined the UP Painters’ Club and eventually became its director from 2008 - 2009. He is one of the founders of the featured organization of this podcast, Makisining. Sir Marvin served as its president (Pangalawang Tuktok) in 2011, 2013-2014, and 2017-2018. In 2012 he co-organized the launching of the WiSiK Arts Festival which celebrated Wika, Sining, and the local community (Komunidad). He is the former Creative and Managing Director of MARO/Ortega Design. Currently, Sir Marvin is the President of Balangkas Construction Corporation.
