Mealtime Protocols
Mealtimes are a community event. Kids sit together with friends and parents and enjoy a delicious meal.
Whether you join your child for a meal or are volunteering during a mealtime, you'll need to help the kids be good citizens during the meal by following the cafeteria protocols:
STEP 1:
PARENT VOLUNTEER assigns 2 students per table to be responsible for wiping the table with rags (provided at the front of the cafeteria).
STEP 2:
All students take their own dishes, cups, and used napkins to the front and
Scrape food waste into compost container
Place dirty silverware, plates, and cups into labeled containers.
STEP 3:
Students assigned to clean up:
Bring wrung-out towels back to the table
Wipe down the table
Return towel to bucket
STEP 4
Students wait to be dismissed by faculty or administrators.
STEP 5
PARENT VOLUNTEER ensures students exit through the back door and meet their class and teacher.
Thank you for doing your part to make Camp a wonderful experience for all!
*NOTE: In addition to the above shared cleaning responsibilities, teachers will assign a class/section to remain to clean-up the dining hall after each meal. The assigned class/section will have additional duties to ensure the communal areas of the room are cleaned.
