The 2026 CAM Academy Chess Tournament brought together students from 3rd through 12th grade for a day of strategy, competition, and fun. While students enjoyed board games and snacks in the commons, 32 competitors faced off in the main tournament, each aiming for first place. After an impressive five-game winning streak, Caleb Vavilin emerged as the tournament champion. Anthony Royenko secured second place after a strong showing throughout the event. Both players were rewarded with brand-new chess boards to celebrate their achievements.
