About CSU
Learn what makes us who we are – where we came from, where we're going, why we do things our way, and the places that make our work possible.
We're striving to push the limits to explore a new vision.
We have achieved recognition as one of the top universities in the world by striving for excellence, pushing the boundaries, and seeking knowledge wherever it may lead. We never hesitate to challenge received wisdom and quickly and publicly disseminate our findings. Since our founding in 2022, this strategy has resulted in our growth increasing exponentially. Because we're representing a top institution at Calvin Industries, we've strived to go beyond the limits, and we've strived to do things that no student has ever done in trying to seek new alternatives to our modern-day education system in standardized testing.
Founded in 2021
Since then, we've never stopped with our vision of educating the world to protect, reform, and secure our public education system.

Teaching and Learning
We think that educational environments that emphasize experiential learning and allow students to engage in critical thinking and problem-solving are the most beneficial for learning. Discover more about our superior instruction.
Research and Scholarships
We think that research has the power to transform society. We are motivated to look for and share solutions to our most difficult issues in a cross-disciplinary manner while concentrating on six global priorities.
Community Engagement
Excellent communities and excellent universities, in our opinion, are interdependent. We are still dedicated to serving the communities for which we were designed.
In addition to providing students with a top-notch educational experience that equips them for success in life, CalvinSU also conducts research that tackles some of society's most pressing problems. Every day, our knowledge production and transfer strengthen the global competitive advantage of our nation and improve the world. The Western can-do spirit, feeling of family, and youthful energy pervade all we do in Calgary, Canada's most innovative and caring city. We are community builders because it is in our DNA, innovators out of necessity and passion, and pioneers at heart. We recognize potential when others shrink from a problem and we know how to work together to "git'er done."
Innovation and Entrepreneurship
We believe in fostering an environment that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship. This involves promoting creativity, risk-taking, and the development of practical skills that empower students and faculty to create real-world solutions and contribute to economic growth.

A Different Approach
Our commitment lies in empowering our students with the skills they need to thrive in life, enabling them to forge their unique paths and pursue their passions and interests. CSU has made substantial investments in the arts to provide students with a platform for creative expression, enriching their educational experience and fostering diverse avenues for personal and professional growth.
Accessible Education
At Calvin State University (CSU), we are committed to addressing these issues by striving to make education accessible and affordable to those in need. Through the provision of digital courses, we enable students to learn from the convenience of their own homes, often at minimal or no cost, thanks to the contributions of volunteers from Calvin Industries and CSU. Our core belief is that everyone should have equal opportunities and access to resources, ensuring equitable treatment and fostering the conditions for all individuals to thrive in life.
