NORTHERN WYOMING - DIVISION 14

This Division held it’s Spring meeting in Casper, WY on May 10, 2014. Attendance was very good with 21 present, which is over one-half of this Division’s total membership.

Members of the Casper club attended the North Platte, NE Train Show in April and had a great time.  Their demonstration of working rotary couplers and working rotary car dumper received Best in Show.  An article for making rotary couplers is being written for future publication.

Members of the Sheridan club attended the Helena, MT Train Show in April.  Weather conditions prevented exploration of the many railroad sites around Helena this year.

Both clubs had members attend the train show in Cheyenne this year. The line to go see the Big Boy in the engine house was so long that we wondered why no one went to the city park to see the one that is there.

Division 14’s next meeting will be held in Sheridan, WY on 27 September 2014.  A program has not been developed at this time. Besides, it is summer and no one is doing much railroading at present.
