For a 9 v 9 team, typical competitive season will have 2-3 trainings per week for 1.5 hours each. There will be about 3-4 week long break in the summer and the winter with no training. Games are typically played on Saturdays and/or Sundays. The schedule for games comes out at the start of each season (fall/spring).

Players who want to attend Tournaments/Play Dates will split the entry fee as well as the cost for the coach to attend. A typical entry fee for a tournament is between $500-$700 or around $50-$100 per player. We fundraise to offset or completely pay for these costs.
The following roles will need to be filled for each team in order for the season to run smoothly. It is expected that all families help setup and breakdown goals as needed at training and on gamedays.

RSVP in the appropriate app for all trainings and games by 11:59pm Sunday before the following week.

The family of each player is expected to fill a volunteer role for their team (Manager, treasurer, benches, etc) and help with both setup and breakdown on game days.
Parents are expected to be a positive role model for all players and other parents. Poor sportsmanship or behavior will not be tolerated.
Teams are placed in a league to give equitable competition. A league table is kept and there is champion at the end of the season. Players are allowed to guest play on same age teams and also play up (older teams).
Teams are be placed into groups by NorCal and play "seeding" games. Based on the results of these games, teams are placed into appropriate knockout brackets and play for the title of "State Cup Champion". Players can only play on 1 team at each age level for state cup (u11, u10, etc). Players can guest play up but can only for 1 team at each age level.
Teams enter a tournament and pick a level of competition that is appropriate. There typically is a round of group play and then a semifinal and/or final based on standings. There is a champion.

Scrimmages are organized between the coaches of different teams and are informal. Many times a parent or coach referees and we stop the game for coachable moments.

The purpose of the ECNL-R teams are to provide soccer players with the highest level of competition while providing the highest level of training. These programs are designed to get players college-ready and are played as "fixtures" where one club plays another club at all 11 v 11 age groups on the same day at the same location. These players will be highly proficient in the game and will be committed to the program for all practices, games, and tournaments. Training and games are highly competitive.
The purpose of the NPL teams are to provide soccer players with a high of competition while providing the highest level of training. These programs are designed to get players college-ready and could include showcase tournaments.

The goal of the Bronze program is to provide a developmental environment in which competitive players can go beyond the recreation level to provide stiffer competition and training so that they may advance to a higher level of play in support of the Gold /Silver divisions.
